Discover how the visual arts can deepen Gospel, Community and Mission at this one-day workshop on art in the church. Gain insight from a panel of practicing artists in various disciplines, explore topics in breakout sessions and go on a curated tour of select fine art pieces at Harvard Art Museums.
Keynote speaker Dr. David Mills, Acting Dean at Champlain College in Burlington, VT, will help us probe the nature and value of art, reveal artistry in relation to church history, and help us apply what we learn to contemporary practice during the main sessions.

The cost of the conference is $25 and includes lunch. The conference will end at 3:30PM, and an optional museum tour with Dr. Mills will follow at Harvard Art Museums, located at 32 Quincy St. in Cambridge. The cost of entry is free this Saturday.
Getting there: There is two hour metered parking on Beacon St, but we recommend that you walk or take public transportation in order to avoid needing to move your car throughout the conference. Ruggles is within a block of the Green C line, the St. Mary’s stop; a block from the Green D line, the Fenway stop; or two blocks from the Green B line, the Central Campus (BU) stop.
